We specialize in short-run flatstock (paper) screen printing up to 16"x20”. We print our in-house prints exclusively on French Paper, one of the last independent, family-owned paper mills in the United States. We use water-based inks and environmentally friendly chemicals.
What’s with the name?
The term “work and tumble” comes from the printing industry. Along with “work and turn”, it refers to to the technique of setting up both sides of a two sided piece on a single plate or lock-up. After printing on one side of the sheet, the paper is then tumbled (front to back) or turned (side to side) and printed again on the back side front image lines up with the back image. The technique saves both time and materials by only having to set up the press once and using only one plate.
